How to set up auto top up in the PTV app

Always be ready to travel with myki auto top up. Set a minimum balance and your myki will automatically top up with the amount you choose.

You will need to register your myki to set up auto top up.

Set auto top up

Open the PTV app

Log in to your myki account via For you or myki

Select a myki to set up auto top up

Tap ‘Set up’ button next to Auto top up

The default view will show balance threshold of $10 with top up amount of $10

Select balance threshold. Choose from $10, $20, $50 or Other. If you select Other, the value must be a whole dollar amount from $10-$250

Select top up amount. Choose from $10, $20, $50 or Other. If you select Other, the value must be a whole dollar amount from $10-$250

Choose how you would like to receive auto top up updates:

  • Email (email address auto-populated – but is editable)
  • Phone (enter mobile number)
  • None

Tap ‘Proceed to payment’ button

Select payment method:

  • Credit/Debit card
    • Enter card number
    • Enter expiry date
    • Enter CVV
  • Bank account
    • Enter name of account
    • Enter BSB
    • Enter account number

Screen will show that an amount of $1 will be deducted from your account and then added as myki Money credit.

Tap ‘Proceed’ button

A summary screen will display also showing the initial deduction amount of $1

You will be required to accept the Terms and Conditions. Links to the Terms and conditions and myki Privacy policy are displayed.

Once Terms and Conditions are accepted the ‘Set auto top up’ button will turn green. Tap the ‘Set auto top up’ button

A confirmation screen will display showing balance and top up amount, with the order number and myki number.

You can tap the share button in the top right to save details, however this will also be available within your account.
